About the classes
Pilates All Levels
The class is for both absolute beginners and those with some Pilates experience. Suitable for anyone with injuries or medical conditions that impacts movement. Please make your teacher aware of these before the class.
Pilates is for everyone! You do not need to be fit, flexible or a women. Classes are designed to work on your core strength and improve your posture and get you feeling good. We will work on mobility, strength, stamina and coordination. As well as deep breathwork to improve your mind/body connection and leave you feeling calmer.
Pilates for Active Ageing
This class is aimed at 60+ and is safe for anyone with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis and other mobility issues. Osteoporosis affects one in every two women and one in five men; it is most common in post-menopausal women. Pilates is a safe exercise programme for those affected by or wanting to prevent osteoporosis and promotes good posture and core stability which can help off-load unnecessary tension on bones. It can also help to improve bone density as the muscle then pull on bones, which can in turn stimulate bone growth. Weight bearing exercises using resistance and your own body weight can also help improve bone density. Lastly, balance and coordination exercises are included to prevent fall.

Useful Information
Mats & equipment are provided for you to use in the class. Just come ready to move in comfortable clothes. You can take your shoes off when you get into the space.
When you are booking in for your first class, you will need to answer some questions, giving details of your medical history, Pilates experience and goals.
